Briarwood Farms
Briarwood Farms was established in 1963 with base genetics from Wye Plantation. We used a proven carcass bull in the late 1960’s called Loretz of Wye, imported from England because of his superior carcass genetics. We have a functional, well balanced herd that has produced dependable, reliable Briarwood genetics with calving ease, good milking ability and quality carcass genetics. In 1998, we won the Missouri State Steer Feed Out carcass contest. We had the only pen of steers that graded 100% Choice.
We are a founding stockholder in U.S. Premium Beef. We are also sponsors of the Missouri State Fair carcass show, founding members of the Western Missouri Feeder Calf Alliance and strong supporters of the Missouri and American Angus Associations. Our bulls are 100% ultrasounded and fertility tested before sale. We have a bull and female sale the second weekend in March. Call us or stop by to look at our cattle.
